Welcome!

Picture
My name is Leslie Opatril and I am a Canadian musical artist.
Having completed a Bachelor of Music at the University of Ottawa, I am currently working on a Master of Music in Composition at the University of British Columbia.

I am thrilled to have had performances of my works with the Sidney Classical Orchestra (Sidney, BC), the North/South Chamber Orchestra (New York, NY), and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. I have received a Musician's Travel Grant from the Canada Council for the Arts and scholarships from the British Columbia Arts Council, UBC, uOttawa, and the Victoria Conservatory of Music.

To take another step in my chosen career, I created this website to facilitate access to the services I can provide right now. I promise these services will only improve from here!

In particular, I have a love for acoustic music in the classical tradition from solo through chamber to the full orchestra.
I am studying to expand my skill-set as a composer, musician, and educator in and around this wondrous realm
with the ultimate goal of touching and enriching lives with the services of music.

Browse at your leisure and feel free to contact me for any and all reasons! I will update this site regularly.
